HOLIDAY SMALL WORKS "Art As Gifts" 2024 EXHIBIT at DEFRENS ART GALLERY
"Art As Gifts" festive exhibit will be visible throughout the DeFrenS
Art Gallery from November 9th to December, 31, 2024.

Opening Reception: Saturday, November 16, 5-8 pm
Special festive opening reception with music by classical guitarist, Guillermo and refreshments will be held in the gallery.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists living in the San Fernando and Conejo Valley
ENTRIES: 2D Artworks representing a variety of painting styles.
Created in mediums of watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, ink, or multimedia. Photography accepted.
Holiday Small Works: "Art as Gifts" width sized: 8"w up to 24"w
ART: Priced for gift giving
- Commission on artwork priced $349.00 and below = 60/40
60% artist, 40% gallery
- Commission on artwork priced $350.00 and up= 50/50
50% artist, 50% gallery
ENTRY FEES: $45.00 up to 5 entries. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Indicate your name and size (height x width) at top of submitted image
Each entry image should be no larger than 2MB. Images should be clear, focused images, no frames in photo. Submitted images of accepted work may be used by DeFrens Art Gallery for press and promotional materials.

Notification of Accepted work: sent via email by October 28, 2024
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK: November 4, 10 am- 2 pm

PICK-UP OF UNSOLD WORK: January 6th - 10 am - 12 pm
SPECIFICATIONS:
・Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements to and from the gallery.
・ Artworks must be prepared and presented in a professional manner.
・Paintings submitted must be dry. No Exceptions.
・Works can be framed or unframed, but must be clearly identified as such on the label forms.
・Artwork and frames must be clean and in good condition.
・All two-dimensional framed work must be wired or equipped securely for hanging and must be able to maintain the weight of the piece.
・All works on paper must be framed or under protective coating: glass or
Plexiglas.
・Box canvases may be hung without frames, but must have finished edges and must supply appropriate hanging equipment suitable to support their work.
・At the juror's discretion, work that is dirty, in disrepair or otherwise deemed unfit for display may be excluded from the show. All decisions of the juror are final.
・Work must be unwrapped by artist upon delivery. DeFrenS Art Gallery will not store any packing materials.
SALES: All work will be offered for sale. All work must be priced to include DeFrenS 50% commission. Artists will receive 50% commission on artwork sold. Payment for sales will be sent to artists within 45 days after the close of the show.
LIABILITY: Neither DeFrenS Art Gallery, staff, nor anyone connected to the exhibition is responsible for any loss, damage, breakage or theft of artwork while at the gallery. Your entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with these terms and conditions as set in this prospectus.
ABOUT DEFRENS ART GALLERY: The gallery is nestled in the vibrant community of Westlake Village. Awaiting artists are peaceful, high, white walls revealing a beautiful flood-lite art gallery to exhibit their artworks.
DeFrenS Art Gallery includes the assistance of a professional Art Curator.
DeFrenS Press Release Executive, formats and emails press releases and advertising documents to extensive mailing lists, local magazines and newspapers.
Artists receive press release email copies and hard copy flyers to invite friends and collectors to the gallery and festive "Opening Reception."
The gallery is fully staffed and accessible for viewing 6 days a week. DeFrenS Art Gallery opens into DeFrenS Luxury Home Consignment.
Galleries are open:
Monday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm and Saturday 11 am - 4 pm.
