Hello, fabulous families and eco-conscious shoppers! We have some thrilling news to share with you that’s bound to make your hearts flutter and your wardrobes shine. Introducing Project ReWear, an exciting new children's thrift clothing pop-up nestled inside our DeFrenS showroom in Westlake Village, California.

A Message from Kim Lau, Founder of Project ReWear

"Hello, I'm Kim Lau, and I'm so thrilled to share some exciting news with you—something incredibly close to my heart: my new business, Project ReWear.

Project ReWear isn't just a business to me—it's a passion project born out of a deep personal commitment to making a positive difference.

Over the past four months, I’ve embarked on a journey that has led to the collection of 12,000 items, preventing 3,000 pounds of clothing from ending up in landfills.

As a mom, I know firsthand how quickly children outgrow their clothes and how challenging it can be to keep up with their needs while staying mindful of our environmental impact.

That’s why I founded Project ReWear—to offer stylish, affordable, and impactful preloved outfits for every size, season, and sibling.

A lot of people ask me ‘why secondhand clothing’? And the truth is, there are many answers to that question. For one, you are helping to reduce textile waste and minimizing the environmental footprint of the fashion industry. So with every piece of preloved clothing you purchase, you are helping to make a more sustainable future for your children and loved ones.

I invite you to visit my store, located inside of DeFrenS in Westlake Village, California. We have so many thoughtfully curated and stylish items for you to shop, including brands such as Janie and Jack.

Together, we can shift to thrift and wear the change we want to see."

Why Choose Project ReWear?

At Project ReWear, Kim believes that fashion can be fun, affordable, and environmentally friendly. Here's why you should consider making them your go-to destination for children's clothing:

1. Eco-Friendly Shopping

By choosing secondhand, you’re not only saving money but also reducing the demand for new clothing production, which significantly cuts down on the environmental impact. Every preloved item you purchase helps in reducing textile waste and the carbon footprint of the fashion industry.

2. High-Quality, Stylish Finds

We understand that every parent wants their child to look stylish and feel comfortable. That’s why we’ve carefully curated a selection of high-quality items, including beloved brands like Janie and Jack, that ensure your little ones are always dressed to impress.

3. Budget-Friendly Prices

Children grow fast, and their clothing needs change just as quickly. Project ReWear offers affordable options that allow you to keep up with their growth spurts without breaking the bank.

4. Support a Sustainable Future

Each purchase at Project ReWear is a step toward a more sustainable future. By supporting this mission, you’re contributing to a community effort to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly habits.
