Description: This Ditmar Urbach dog pitcher, hand-painted in red, black with a touch of white, on a yellow background is not only stunning, it is quite rare. Dating from the 1930s, it is stamped “Handpainted Erphila Czechoslovakia” and impressed “922”. Other similar pitchers were designed and manufactured in Europe around the same time by Ditmar Urbach, but they are more commonly the rooster and the toucan. The dog is not as often found. This spectacular pitcher is in good condition.
